So, we’ve got the first idea for a t-shirt. What’s missing is a character. Something with a musical twist, maybe holding a guitar, bass, drum sticks… throw in a little cowboy and some long hair. Oh, he should be standing on a monitor too. OK, lots of great ideas. Couldn’t find what was needed in clipart (of course), so take the best of ideas and create new image. Hank is born.

“What do you call him,” I’m asked at his first showing. “I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it, I was more concerned with having a character on the design than a name.” A few days later and I heard the name Hank. And, well, Hank has things to say. Hankerisms. The name and place were born and here we are.
